4 reasons hiring freelancers beats hiring employees
When there’s work to be done, there’s a list of reasons to choose freelancers over employees. I’m not going to try to cover all of them, but I‘ll give you four.
Navigate Uncertainty
In uncertain times, businesses get cautious and suspend hiring or cut jobs. It’s understandable to reduce or avoid new long-term commitments. But doing so comes at a cost. Additional work is heaped on existing employees, tasks are neglected, productivity falls, and progress stalls.
Freelancers offer flexibility, letting businesses get things done without getting locked into the running tab that’s associated with employment. There are benefits to open relationships.
Speed and expertise
Hiring an employee can be a very slow process. A new hire is an investment, and a lot is at stake in making the right choice. After the recruiting, there’s the onboarding then the training.
Freelancers are specialists. They come to the job ready and knowing how to get it done, allowing to fill voids and kick off projects in days so you can quickly respond to changes and opportunities.
