20, including ringleader, sentenced for UK people smuggling ring

Yesterday, October 18, a Belgian Court in Bruges handed out sentences for 20 migrant smugglers, including the alleged kingpin of the operation, Hewa Rahimpur.

Those sentenced were part of “one of the most prolific criminal groups involved in small boat crossings” to the UK, according the National Crime Agency (NCA).
